Class Teacher

The Cornerstone Academy Trust is responsible for Broadclyst and Westclyst Community Primary Schools, and has just been appointed to open a new school in the Monkerton area of Exeter. It utilises its Academy freedoms to deliver an enriched and exciting project-based, problem solving curriculum. This is an exciting time to join a growing academy trust, as we grow from two to three schools.

In addition to Broadclyst being rated as an ‘Outstanding’ school by Ofsted, we are a Teaching School, a Microsoft Showcase School, and an approved Academy Sponsor.

We are looking to recruit a class teacher, most probably to be based in lower KS2. Required in September, the post is fixed term until the end of July 2018. Applications from newly qualified teachers are welcome.

We wish to employ an inspiring and professionally thoughtful teacher who must be able to use a range of teaching styles and appropriate strategies to meet the needs of all children. The successful candidate will need to be both creative and passionate about learning. They must be able to teach using a multi-disciplinary approach, using ICT in a fully integrated way as a tool for both teaching and learning, which the school is internationally recognised for.

Visits to the school are welcome by prior arrangement.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check is required for these posts.
