Clerk to the Board of Trustees - Cornerstone Academy Trust (Broadclyst & Westclyst Community Primary Schools)

This is a wonderful opportunity for the right person to work with a highly dedicated team of Trustees and the academy leadership team. As a multi-academy trust, we are responsible for both Broadclyst Primary School and the recently open Westclyst Community Primary School.

You will either need to have past experience as a professional clerk to governors, OR the aptitude to learn procedural and legal matters of school governance in order to lead in giving advice and direction to the Board and its sub committees.

You will have a vital role in organising board meetings, minute taking and liaising with all the Trustees in order to ensure the smooth running of the Board. You will be accountable to the Chair of Trustees and will work closely with him and the Headteacher.

The successful candidate will have the proven ability to be concise and accurate in minute taking.

Although the majority of work will be within the term time, some work within school holidays will be required. Meetings take place within the day and evening, so your availability must offer a certain level of flexibility.

Cornerstone Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and expects all of its staff and volunteers to share this commitment. A DBS check will be undertaken and references taken up.

The permanent role is expected to require at least 180 hours per annum at an hourly rate of £10.00

Visits to the school are welcome by prior arrangement.
