This morning we travelled back to the school and observed a best practice
lesson taught by Christine. The lesson was based on the work of HC Anderson who was born in the nearby town of Odense which is the third largest city in Denmark and where we have been based for the first part of our trip. The lesson involved a carousel of art/media based activities which the children rotated around throughout the morning. Some of the activities involved following QR codes to complete quizzes, using crayons to transform black and white images whilst putting them together to make a story board and creating factfiles on the life of HC Anderson using the app Padlet. After morning break we made another presentation to a class in the school who had lots of questions to ask about Broadclyst and wondered why the children in England all wore the same clothes to school!
After lunch we met a local teacher before departing for a boat trip around Lillebᴂlt 'Little Belt' which is a beautiful marine area that was formed by a glacier during the last Ice Age. It is very narrow but very deep so we did our best not to think about what was lurking beneath our little boat.
In the evening we checked into our new hotel in Middelfart and had dinner in the local town.
