Yesterday, on the 30th of April, the Broadclyst A and B football teams participated in a tournament held at Clyst Vale Community College. Fourteen other teams took part in the tournament from around the local area. The competition was played in a ‘round robin’, with teams being 6-a-side and games only lasting ten minutes. Three players from the Broadclyst team showed great sportsmanship, as they joined and formed a ‘Barbarian’ team made up of children from other schools. Both of the Broadclyst teams played exceptionally well, winning their respective groups and meeting each other in the final. However, in the end Broadclyst A won the final 1 – 0 after a well-fought game. Despite the wind and rain, everyone (including parent spectators) had a fantastic afternoon. Well done girls and boys!
